Appearance: Low sheen.
Spreading Rate: 8 – 10 m²/litre dependent on surface grain.
Solids: ± 65% by mass and ± 42% by volume.
Density: 1,26 kg/litre.
Recommended Dry Film Thickness: 2 coats at 30 – 40 µm per coat minimum.
Viscosity: 65 Kµ.
Flash Point: 35°C.

Storage:

• Keep containers properly sealed.
• Store away from direct heat, sun and severe cold in a place with adequate ventilation.

TECHNICAL DATASHEET

Features

• Good adhesion to timber and hardboard.
• Easily overcoated with conventional decorative coatings.
• Provides good protection for wood.

Intended Usages

• Primer for timber and hardboard surfaces.

Application Details

• Mixing: Stir well before use with a flat paddle to an even consistency. Stir occasionally during use.
• Method: Roller or brush.
• Thinning: ProGold Mineral Turpentine.
• Cleaning: Remove as much of the product as possible from the application equipment before cleaning with ProGold Mineral Turpentine.

Conditions:

• Temperature between 5°C and 40°C.
• Relative humidity of less than 85 %, preferably between 10: 00 and 16: 00.

Drying time: Surface dry – 4 hours; Hard dry – 16 hours.

Recoating time: 18 hours.

Requirements: 2 coats for proper penetration.

Surface Preparations
Wood:

• Sand smooth, remove dust and apply directly.

Hardboard:

• Sand smooth, remove dust and apply directly.

Recommended only as a primer.

Limitations

• Only intended as a primer for wood and hardboard.
• Must be overcoated within 7 days as it is not UV stable.

Safety

• Keep out of reach of children.
• Ensure to maintain good ventilation during application and drying process.
• In case of skin contact, wash with soap and water or a recognised skin cleaner. Avoid contact with eyes. In case of contact with eyes rinse immediately with running water and seek medical advice.
• If product is ingested drink plenty of water or milk. Do not induce vomiting at any time. Seek medical advice.
